This weeks beat update |
||
|
Hello everyone,
My name is PCSO Lucinda Bailey (6554) and I am one of the dedicated Police Community Support Officers for the Loughborough East Beat area. I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself and provide a brief update on the three priorities that local residents have told us matter most in our community.
🚔 Burglary#YouSaidWeDidResidents told us that burglary was a concern across the area. In response, we have been carrying out focused patrols in hotspot locations and providing crime prevention advice to residents to help reduce opportunities for offenders. This week, officers successfully recovered a stolen motorcycle before the owner had even realised it had been taken. ✅ We will continue our patrols and preventative work to keep our communities safe.
🚗 Vehicle Crime#YouSaidWeDidYou told us that vehicle crime was having an impact on the area. Our team has been proactively tackling vehicle theft, theft from vehicles, TWOC (Taking Without Owner's Consent), and vehicle-related anti-social behaviour through dedicated patrols and targeted policing activity. We're pleased to report that, so far this month, there have been no further reports of vehicle theft or theft from vehicles within the beat area. We will continue our targeted patrols to maintain this positive trend.
💊 Drug Dealing, Cuckooing & Drug-Related ASB#YouSaidWeDidResidents raised concerns about drug dealing, cuckooing, and drug-related anti-social behaviour. In response, we have been targeting those involved in drug supply and individuals who exploit vulnerable people through cuckooing and county lines activity. Our team continues to carry out disruption work, enforce and monitor closure orders, and gather intelligence to tackle criminal activity. As a result of this ongoing work, individuals were recently arrested in the Tuckers Road area on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
👮 Working TogetherWe remain committed to tackling the issues that matter most to our communities, but we cannot do it alone. Please continue to report concerns, suspicious activity, and information that could help us keep Loughborough East a safe place to live and work.
I would also like to let residents know that I am one of Leicestershire Police's PLOD Officers (Police Link Officer for the Deaf). If you are a British Sign Language (BSL) user and would like to speak with me, or require support in communicating with the police, please do not hesitate to get in touch. I am always happy to assist and help ensure our services are accessible to everyone in our community.
Stay Safe, Hope you all have a great weekend
Kind regards PCSO 6554 Lucinda Bailey #YouSaidWeDid #NeighbourhoodPolicing #WorkingTogether #SaferCommunities #KeepingCommunitiesSafe #LoughboroughEast
